I bought a kindle partially due to its PDF func. But I tried using it and I can only view a whole page zoomed all the way out. Is there no way to zoom in on PDFs? And why will it not allow me to adjust font sized?

I am a fifteen going on sixteen year old teenage girl. During the school year I befriended, though truly at first I didn’t want to be her friend but then she decided to tell me things she claims never to have told others, this slightly older girl by the name of Emily. She was quite odd and judging along with tempermental character from the first sentence she spoke to me trying to bring me from the world in the book of the week that was distracting me from the almost nonexistant lesson being taught and the world around me that was nothing but a blur of color and sound. The words spoken to me were “Is she a whore or something? Because, that lipstick is too red!” refering to our forty-two year old teacher that though she was still a sixteen year old cheerleader. I forced out a laugh and introduced myself by a new name, Kate.

Over time the girl grew closer to me and affectionatly nicknamed me Kit Kat much to my annoyance and along the way more horrible traits became present. Such as threatning to rip out people facial piercings, mine being one of them. When, I can to school the day after my birthday with a fresh nose piercing she began to whine about how her father refused to let her have one until she was eighteen which I just slightly nodded my head at not really paying much attention to it seeing as her whining was a daily occurance. One day she even attempted to rip out the piercing but was quickly stopped by our friend Dylan coming in and distracting her. Another bad trait judging others for stuff she does herself. A new girl named Kendra or Kassandra entered the last month of schooling. She was like a carbon copy of Emily with a few more things added in such as stalking Dylan and having sex in the bathroom with a band member named Gabe. Emily hatred the girl with a fiery passion from the second day which I found odd since the girl was like a blonde version of her. Bad trait number three, hitting without reason. Hitting me and others without a reason or obvious motivator for it was a daily if not hourly occurance. When, I asked her to stop when I was sick one day her reply was just “Oh, God!” and that was always her reply when I stood up and told her to stop hitting me or called her out on some of her actions. I remember hitting her back once for hitting me and stealing my book which was a borrowed copy of Interview With A Vampire. Trait number for accussing me of things. I have been in love with reading since middle school and always have a book or
my kindle with me so I can read during lunch and when we are not doing work or lessons. Emily would constantly steal my book or sit on it. When, I would demand it back she would just roll her eyes and once again say her line of “Oh, God!”. When, she started to get into the Twilight Saga she blamed me for when her dad took the books away because she refused to do her chores. By the way she lives in a different town, fourty minutes away from mine.

I’m not a fan of the series having read it in eighth grade to see what the craze was about and stopped reading it during the fourth book when one of the love interest “imprinted” on the main characters hour old daughter meaning in the future she would be his mate. Mate meaning he intends to sleep with the girl and reproduce which completely turned me off to the series. When, Emily asked me if I was a fan I politely replied no to which she replied to by punching me when the teacher left the room. She constantly demanded me to reread the whole series and that I had to be a fan. When she reached the last page of Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final book, she broke into a wailing cry. I told her it was just a series and she shouldn’t be so upset along with saying in MY OPINION it wasn’t that good of a series. She then lashed out saying my opinion doesn’t matter and that I should die because Edward and Bella are real. I sat there shocked at how anyone could think this begging for the bell to ring signalling the end of school. I haven’t seen her since but the beginning of school is approching making me wonder if she is still not in completely sane condition. Am I overreacting and just need to forget about it?

How do the E-ink screens in the Barnes & Noble Nook and Amazons kindle actually work?

I was wanting to know if I could read an eBook from Barnes and Nobles without having a kindle or a Nook. Please help

I just ordered an amazon kindle 3G. Not the dx. It was the cheaper one. What does it do besides let you read books. Does it have any cool features? How do you buy books and how much are they? What books come free?

Or is it such a small difference it doesnt even matter? Im thinking about buying a nook for school and save a little money on books that I buy. I found a book that I needed for class and it said kindle edition on the side in parathesis. Would it work on the nook as well?? or how does that work>?

I heard that nook has built in dict but its not as good as kindle 2?

I am a very avid reader and I’ve been thinking on purchasing a kindle 2. I’m running out of room in my shelves for my books. I’ve looked on Amazon and it says that the kindle is temporarily out of stock. it’s 2010 and I want to know how long the kindle has been out of stock and when they are coming back in stock. I’ve done some research and I think that the kindle is the right type of e reader for me, and it can hold 1,500 e books, along with having free internet. and all the articles online about the kindle being out of stock are from 2007 and 2008. how long has the kindle been out of stock? i don’t want to order it and then be waiting months for it to arrive. thank you!

I want my mom to start letting me wear make-up and get me clip in hair extensions for my short hair. I’ve been doing extra chores and being nice and she just bought me an amzon kindle. What else can I do? Right now she says she’s noticing a HUGE change in me and says she’s so proud. Is there anything I should do to really make her happy?

I came up with two conclusions to what he ment by it last night.

1. He does not like Johnathan’s mother, his accusing Johnathan’s mother of turning his son against him.

2. Saul is nuts, he actually thinks Johnathan is attracted to his mother.

The other thing I was thinking of is there is a deeper meaning to what he is saying, I was just wondering can anybody explain what this verse is all about better than me.

what types of formats can you put on ebook readers? Does .pdf work?

Everytime I try to buy a kindle book on my Android phone (HTC Hero), it says there is no device registered to this amazon account, or something like that. How is this possible? I logged into my amazon account FROM my mobile, through the kindle for Android app, ALSO from my mobile. How is my device NOT registered to my account by now? SOS!

Been looking at a few but dont know which one to go with….i love sony and thats my brand..and i trust there product…the kindle idk…but theres like a new one out and it looks nice…the nook idk it looks more for girls then guys..help give ur opinion and knowledge if u got one of these babes

We had a friend that used her library card to “check in” and “check out” books on her Amazon kindle. How did she do that because I would love to do it on my kindle. Any ideas?
